		"This series of photos shows what I did to put a hardwood floor in a small 10' extension of my LR/DR. I was lucky enough to salvage about 210 square feet of flooring from another house in the neighborhood that also had 50 year-old red oak T&G boards, all for free. I had to buy about 60 sq ft of new boards to get the total 260 sq ft that I needed. After two weeks of pulling nails and sorting boards, I racked them and nailed them down over the course of a week (after work and the weekend). I had a pro sand them (they were extremely uneven thanks to a bad sanding job in their original home) and then I finished everything with Osmo Polyx Oil (final picture - which shows original floor in old house, salvaged floor is on far right)." - aepva   ( 12/12/2007 08:43 PM )
